BackBeats Band Bio

The BackBeats have been making Oldies Rock & Oldies Country music for more than 10 years for packed venue’s large & small around the DFW area.  Four professional musicians play cover hits and memories from the late 50's, 60's, 70’s and 80’s. The BackBeats Band has one of the largest “cover song” lists, arranged and custom picked for audiences old and young- from Bobby Vinton, George Strait, Tommy James & the Shondells, Bread, Ricky Nelson, Beatles, Paul Anka, Bee Gees, Fats Domino, Eagles, Elvis & lots more.

Members Bob Carreras (Lead Vocals/Guitar), Michael Crystal (Drummer/Vocals), Tony Abruzzo (Bass/Vocals) and Paul Reitz (Lead Guitar/Vocals) have decades of musical experience and bring memories music to life for dancing, chair moving, toe-tapping, line-dancing and sing along fun!  They live by the motto: “If you can't dance to it, sing along with it, or remember it- then we don't do it!”

And a special note....we play at LOW VOLUMES!  Always ear pleasing.

The BackBeats Band is saddened at the passing of it's Bass Player "John Payne".  John will always remain in our hearts as a friend, kindest person we ever met, and accomplished musician.  We miss you John.
